Evolution vs GOD?

“Evolution is an immoral system that has no legs to walk and is basically forced down upon the children in secular countries to divulge them from the knowledge of God”. This is what most of the religious people think about a fact of science.

Yes, A fact.

There is a huge library of evidence that proves that evolution is a fact.  The scientific circles have no disagreement on that. Even if we had no fossils whatsoever to point towards evolution and common ancestry, still the similarities between the human DNA with other primates is proof enough to show that we have evolved from a common ancestor.

Religious people say that all life was created by God. So let me ask you a question and please think about it? If God is perfect than shouldn’t his creation be perfect too? One can argue that because of the fault of our own or the sin committed by Adam and Eve, we humans have ourselves created suffering. Diseases and such things are only a result of that. Muslims say that this life is a test. Allah tests human beings with suffering and poverty to see if men would be able to still have faith in their creator. Why did Allah put vestigial organs in our body? Most of these organs do not do anything negative to us. But, these organs have almost no use to us. It’s like if I am an architect of a building, why would I add useless appendages to my plan? Why would I add a pillar or beam which supports nothing, adds no aesthetic beauty nor helps any future improvement over the building? If God is perfect than why is this imperfection?

Evolution can logically explain how these vestigial organs developed in our or any other animal’s body. Just take the case of the wisdom teeth or the third molars. This tooth has no use in the human jaw.  Still, Allah or God was so intelligent that he put them there. Why? What was he even thinking? Religion can give us no answer to this problem. Science on the other hand tells that during the course of evolution, Humans once used to have a larger jaw that could accommodate more teeth. This was because of the diet of humans which was insufficient and constituted a lot of foliage. Chewing of foliage in a better manner would aid to the digestion of cellulose that is present in the cell walls of plants. Later, as the jaws of human beings became smaller and their diets changed, there was no use left of these molars.  If it was a competition, evolution clearly wins a point here. Creationism is dull and stupid.

Imperfection of design does not stop there only. There are thousands of deformities and diseases that are caused due to the malfunction of genes and division of cells during embryogenesis. This design is flawed and if it is attributed to a God than he is flawed too. The only reasoning that can explain genetic deformities is a non-random process of evolution that works through hits and trials and succeeds only to create a being that is not perfect but only good enough to procreate other beings of his kind. Everywhere I look, I see the same thing.

Why are religious people so hostile towards evolution? Okay, not all religious people are against it. Hinduism is a very big religion and most of them have no problem with this science. It is because Hinduism is largely a diluted religion. There are several Gods, several stories, several ways of worship and almost no one in Hinduism knows a creation story. Offcourse there is one, a story that consists of Brahma (The creator) and it goes against evolution. But, very few Hindus even know about that story. The reason is that there are so many books in Hinduism that nobody cares to read them.  In contrast, Islam has got just one major book, The Holy Koran. Koran says explicitly that if someone can find even one mistake in the book than the total book is proved wrong. So, because evolution clearly goes against the Islamic teaching of Adam and Eve, therefore Muslim preachers do their best to deny Evolution.

There are several arguments that they give against evolution. One is that evolution is just a theory. Now, the educated ones among us know that a scientific theory is different from a common day theory.

”In modern science, the term “theory” refers to scientific theories, a well-confirmed type of explanation of nature, made in a way consistent with scientific method, and fulfilling the criteria required by modern science. Such theories are described in such a way that any scientist in the field is in a position to understand and either provide empirical support (“verify”) or empirically contradict (“falsify”) it.”

There are people like Zakir Naik, Harun Yahya and Eric Hovind who laugh on the science of evolution and mock the efforts of hundreds of scientists that have worked hard to develop the field of evolutionary sciences. These people have followers in millions. The books written by these people are circulated as science text books in many schools. I would just like to ask their followers to study evolution from the authentic books written by scientists. Harun Yahya is a businessman. His shiny suit and boot and the sexy girls sitting around him comes because of the donations of you gullible people. You are the customers in his business. He is selling you a lie. The reason why Harun Yahya will never acknowledge the fact of evolution is because it will ruin his market. Believe me, I am a marketer myself and I know how companies and individuals propagate lies in order to sell their products and make themselves rich.

He is a businessman. Not a scientist.

He is a businessman. Not a scientist.

If an idiot like Eric Hovind thinks that he has got enough evidence to disprove evolution than why doesn’t he gets his work peer –reviewed and gets it published. There is a fucking Nobel Prize kept for a person who can do that. Do you know how much it would mean to the entire human history and the future? But he does not even have the guts to talk to a real scientist or evolutionary biologist like Richard Dawkins. All he can do is talk among uneducated Christians and children and preach the gospel of Crocoduck.

About Bobby-Allen

I am a business student, biotechnology graduate, free thinker and rationalist living in my own dream world, floating along with the speck of dirt that we call earth. I love reading books, traveling, movies, music and all the amazing things that this life has granted us. Though only a few among us appreciate their true value. I consider myself a seeker, for truth and salvation. I have looked for the truth in human emotions, feelings, dogma, superstitions and now I have only come closer to the perimeter of truth which just keeps on shifting further and further away. Hope one day I reach my goal, the post where I have tied my dreams.
